For those of you who don’t know, my name is Faith Trombley I’m a senior at Danbury High School and I’m also the Media and Marketing Intern for Ottawa County Improvement Corporation. I started the internship back in October and wrote my first blog post on Manufacturing Day. Since then, I’ve written a blog every month, participated in biweekly conference calls, posted on social media, and have even gone to the Business Advisory Council meetings.

One day I got to sit down and talk with Bryan Edwards of Lake Erie Shores and Islands and Greg Peiffer of WCPR. I got to learn about two different ends of media and marketing and was given the opportunity to talk on the radio with WCPR’s Stacy Maple.

I feel that this internship has given me some really good hands on experience by allowing me to make connections with different business leaders which one day in the future may come in handy. My time being apart of this has not been wasted.

I’ve enjoyed every second and have solidified my plans to go to Wittenberg University for journalism and writing. I’d like to thank the members of OCIC, the Business Advisory Council, and my internship coordinator Mr. Heller for giving me the opportunity to take part in the program.

As a senior at Danbury High School in Marblehead, OH, Faith is interested in broadcast media, journalism, and digital marketing. Faith is involved in choir and spends most of her time in Toft’s Ice Cream Parlor in Port Clinton. After graduation, she plans to attend Wittenberg University.
