Fun for Everyone
Fun fact – Port Clinton, Ohio is the Walleye Capital of the world! Our area is known for having the perfect conditions for walleye populations to thrive – so it’s no wonder that each spring we see hundreds of fishermen (and women) travel to the shores of Lake Erie to partake in the fun. If you’re looking for other ways to enjoy Lake Erie, take a stroll out at Derby Pond, check out the restored Port Clinton Lighthouse, or take a ride on the Jet Express that launches daily during summer months to transport visitors to the Lake Erie islands, including Put-In-Bay.
Other spots for recreation in Port Clinton include the Watering Hole, a waterpark where visitors can cool off on the 3 story Slide Towers, the Kid’s Tree House, the Lazy River and heated pools; and the African Safari Wildlife Park, a drive-through wildlife park that spans over 100 acres where visitors can watch and feed animals from their car. But be careful – a llama or a giraffe may stick their head into your car window!
