Schedel Arboretum and Gardens
The Schedel Arboretum and Gardens is a 17-acre garden estate and a nature experience unlike any other in Northwest Ohio. Since 1991, thousands of people have visited the estate to take in the beauty and serenity that accompanies it. The coming of Schedel Arboretum and Gardens started over 50 years ago when Joe and Marie Schedel developed the dream of building a unique resource for the study and appreciation of Nature.
Today, the mission of Schedel Arboretum and Gardens is to “offer life enhancing experiences, for current and future generations, by providing unique opportunities for the study and appreciation of nature and the arts.”
Elmore Bridge Replacement
This month, Elmore opened its new bridge to the public, three weeks ahead of schedule! A lot of hard work, favorable weather, and a $180,000 incentive for the contractor to kick it in high gear is the reasoning behind the early opening.
While traffic is flowing overhead, crews will continue to work beneath the bridge removing the false decking, which is the wooden framework that keeps debris contained, and removing the stone causeway. Those will be the final two items completed on the project. The final completion date remains early November. For more information on the bridge replacement, click here.
